Design Story

The palette is disciplined: deep matte black as the field, warm gold as the only accent. Thin gilded lines travel the surface like seams, curving around the body and drawing the eye upward before settling on the focal panel. That anchor is a sunburst medallion framing a crystal-textured tennis ball, its two gold seam curves reading instantly even at a glance. Beneath it, spaced lettering announces US OPEN 2026 with editorial calm, and small faceted accents punctuate the sides. Negative space does the heavy lifting — the black ground gives the gold room to breathe.

Use & Experience

On a tumbler silhouette, the vertical proportion suits this layout perfectly. The medallion sits at chest height of the vessel, centred on the front-facing focal area, while the linework wraps continuously so the design never looks pasted on. Gold detailing echoes toward the handle and lid area, keeping the whole object visually unified in hand.
